This Spirit Review Is The First Of Many & My Favorite Of All – Bourbon Whiskey. I Chose These Bourbons Because – They’re Just What I Drink & Have Been The Foundation For Many Great Times. From Late Nights That Turn Into Early Mornings, To Deep In The Mountains Off The Grid Enjoying Fresh Pow – It’ll Always Get You To Your Destination. Fast.

The Starter.

Basil Hayden. Basil Hayden. Basil Hayden. It’s What I’ve Encouraged Many To Start With & It’s Always Received Well. I’m Not Going To Get Into The BS “Notes” Or Spices – It’s Light & Easy To Drink – Simple. From Blackberry Lemonade’s To Old Fashioned’s . This Is One Everyone Can Enjoy & It’s Always Best W/ Everyone Involved.

The Go To.

Knob Creek. Beam Family, 100 Proof & Up – Keep It Simple & I’m Talking About All Of Them. It Will Get You Where You Want To Be Every Time. Found Everywhere, Extremely Inexpensive & Be Careful! Throwing Back Too Much Will Come With Consequences If Not Balanced W/ Water Appropriately.

Best Enjoyed Neat W/ A Water Sidecar (Glass Of Water – Now You Know). I Drink 1:1.

The Mountain Staple.

High West Double Rye. It’s Spicy, Guaranteed To Keep You Warm In Higher Elevations & Goes Down Like Water During Snowfall. This Is A Must Visiting Any Mountains Especially Park City UT. The Distillery Is In The Heart Of Town & Essential.

Best Enjoyed Neat W/ A Water Sidecar Or On Rocks With A Dash Of Bitters.

Personal Favorites.

#1 – High West Midwinter Nights Dram. Limited Release, Finished In Port Barrels & Another Feature From High West. It Honestly Tastes Of Brandied Cherries, Fruit & Finishes Smooth. If You Have The Means, I Highly Suggest Ordering It Next Time You See It!

Sip Neat W/ A Water Sidecar Or Shoot It Down

#2- Angel’s Envy Rye. Delicious, Full Bodied & A Delicacy. Finished In Caribbean Rum Casks – It’s Sweeter, On The Stronger Side & If It’s On Available I’m Ordering It. Tougher Find These Days When Out.

Sip Neat W/ Water Sidecar, Or Over A Rock Sphere W/ Bitters Of Course.
